Qom rugs are made in the Qom Province of Iran, around 100 km south of Tehran.

Historically, there was a standard rug arrangement in the traditional Iranian home. In the middle would be the central rug or “mian farsh,” which is about five-to-six yards long and roughly six-to-eight feet wide.

In the 24th handmade Persian carpet fair, thousands of traditional and modern rugs are on display from all over Iran.
